Getting started with Axolot

Create your Axolot ID, enjoy the free trial and discover the general layout of the application.

Axolot is an accounting application designed for freelancers and small businesses in Switzerland. You manage your invoices, quotes, receipts, banking, VAT and fiduciary exports, all in one place.

Sign up

  1. Click « Sign up » from any page on the site.
  2. Enter your e-mail and a password, or use sign-in with Google or Apple.
  3. Confirm your e-mail address via the link you receive.
  4. Create your first company with the step-by-step assistant (name, postal code and locality, VAT, AVS compensation office).

The free trial

You start with a free trial period of 14 days, with no credit card required. You get access to all core features to test the tool in your real-world conditions. The trial is granted once per Axolot ID, so creating a second company does not start a new trial.

At the end of the trial, the Axolot Perpetual Licence™ unlocks the application permanently with a single payment. A monthly subscription with no commitment is also available (see the Licence & billing section).

Key steps next

  • Fill in your company settings (IBAN, VAT, currency).
  • Create your first customers and articles to save time when invoicing.
  • Issue your first QR invoice or import your receipts.
  • Import your bank statements, and Axolot sorts your transactions automatically.

The intro video

A short video introduces how to get started with Axolot. You can watch it any time below, or from the app. Once signed in, the “Watch the intro video” button appears in the bottom-left corner. The video is offered in your language when it is available.

In the app, click “Don’t show again” in the video window to permanently hide the button on this device. You can simply close the window without hiding it to find it again later.

Following the release notes

Axolot keeps evolving. The release notes page lists the new features, improvements and fixes that shipped, from the most recent to the oldest. You reach it from the “See the release notes” pill shown on the site home page, at /changelog.
