What is a QR-bill?
The QR-bill has been the Swiss invoicing standard since October 2022. It replaces the old red and orange payment slips. The Swiss QR Code printed on the slip contains all the payment information (IBAN, amount, reference, addresses). Your customer scans it with their e-banking app and pays in seconds, without typing errors.
IBAN or QR-IBAN, what is the difference?
A regular IBAN is enough to collect payments with a QR-bill. The QR-IBAN is a special identifier provided by your bank (its institution number, positions 5 to 9, lies between 30000 and 31999). It must be used together with a 27-digit QR reference, which lets your bank automatically match each payment to the corresponding invoice. You will find your QR-IBAN in your e-banking.
